Poy Art is an urban redevelopment initiative, featuring artistic performances across various disciplines, aimed at revitalizing the small Abruzzo village of Poggetello, a hamlet of Tagliacozzo (AQ), which once had around 800–1,000 inhabitants and now has only 60–100 residents.

The project was conceived by Antonio Lavorgna, Artistic Director of the project, Mario Gualandri, and the Associazione Borgo Poggetello.

The goal is to reshape the spaces of the small village through a dialogue between art, history, and tradition. The urban space becomes a place for expression, an open-air art gallery, where artworks are not confined to closed spaces intended for an elite audience but reach all citizens, guiding them through a completely new artistic path in which the street itself becomes a museum.

I participated in the first edition at the end of August 2023 with the poem “Poggetello”, composed by me and permanently installed on a Totem, along with a path of twenty of my poems dedicated to nature, accompanied by my drawings.

Upon returning home, I wrote the poem “Poy Art” to express the sensations and emotions I experienced during that wonderful experience of artistic sharing and friendship.
